Your Discord.
On Matrix.
Morpheus is a native Matrix client shaped like Discord. Spaces, rooms, threads, calls and end-to-end encryption, in a fast Rust app for your desktop and your phone. Any homeserver, your account, nobody's ads.
Free and open source. Linux, Windows, macOS, Android and iPhone.
Everything where you expect it
A rail of spaces on the left, rooms and DMs beside it, the conversation in the middle and the people in it on the right. Threads, replies, reactions, pinned messages, search, an inbox of mentions, and the keyboard shortcuts you already know. If you have used Discord, you already know Morpheus.
Hop into a call
Voice, video and screen sharing, end-to-end encrypted and compatible with the call service matrix.org runs. People in a call show under the room with a ring while they speak, and one click joins. DMs ring the other person. On a phone the call takes the whole screen with a camera button. Mute and deafen live in your user pill, like they should.
Locked, and you hold the key
Encrypted rooms stay encrypted. Verify your other devices by comparing emoji or scanning a QR code, set up a recovery key once, and restore your history on a new machine. Login tokens and the database passphrase go to your OS keyring. A message from a device that could not be confirmed carries a shield that says why.
The same app in your pocket
The phone build is the desktop build in a single column. Swipe between the room list, the chat and the members, hold a message for its menu, and get push notifications through UnifiedPush with the sender and the text, decrypted on the device. Android today, iPhone as a sideloadable build.
Light on its feet
Morpheus is Rust end to end, built on the same Matrix SDK as Element X. The interface is one set of components rendered by the system webview, so the whole desktop app with a 600-message room open and scrolled is smaller than a browser tab or two.

Bring your own homeserver
Sign in to matrix.org, your company's server or the one in your closet, with a password, email or single sign-on. Keep several accounts and switch between them without signing out. Your rooms, your contacts and your history live on the server you chose, and any other Matrix app can reach them too.

Close the window. Morpheus keeps the watch.
Closing hides it to the tray. It keeps syncing, keeps your keys warm and raises a notification when someone needs you.
